Do I need to install an agent on my MikroTik router?

No. Wantastic connects to MikroTik routers using the built-in WireGuard client already present in RouterOS. There is no software to install and no modifications to your router's configuration beyond applying the auto-generated import script from the console.

RouterOS v7.x is recommended, as it includes native WireGuard support. RouterOS v6 does not have built-in WireGuard and is not currently supported for the agentless connection method.
